Freedom

“Freedom is not a concession, but a daily conquest.” Aníbal Delgado Fiallos

Acrylic on canvas

“Freedom” is born from the exuberant strength of a red heliconia, whose long open petals, ending in delicate tips and accompanied by intense yellow pistils, evoke a wild, vibrant beauty brimming with vital energy. Monarch butterflies flutter around the flower, symbols of transformation, movement, and a free spirit. In their constant flight, they seem to seek, conquer, and celebrate their freedom each day within an untamed, luminous natural setting. The artwork represents the soul’s deep desire to expand beyond limits, to open to the world with courage, just as the heliconia unfolds its forms toward the light. The butterflies, with their fleeting yet powerful dance, remind us that freedom is not a destination, but a continuous act of transformation and flight.
