“In the world there is light, and in the light there is the ceiba, and in the ceiba there is the green flame of America.” — Gabriela Mistral
An exuberant flower opens at the center of the composition with an almost luminous intensity. The petals, in shades of pink, fuchsia, and magenta, meet the golden yellow of its center, creating a powerful contrast with the greens and turquoise tones that surround it.
Here, the ceiba flower appears as a symbol of strength, beauty, and transformation. Its apparent fragility contrasts with the intensity of its colors, turning it into a vital, warm, and deeply feminine presence.
More than simply depicting a flower, the artwork seeks to convey a feeling: the power of nature when it blossoms in full bloom.
