“The Sacred Breath of Tobacco” is born from a fascination with tobacco flowers, whose delicate bell shapes possess a silent, ceremonial beauty. Among leaves and blossoms emerges, almost camouflaged, the God of Tobacco, like an ancestral presence that dwells discreetly in nature and in the spirit of the plant. The work evokes the sacred vision that Mesoamerican cultures bestowed upon tobacco, used not only as a ritual plant, but also as a means of spiritual connection and communication with the divine. The trail of smoke that crosses the composition symbolises that invisible breath that unites earth with spirit, the human with the sacred, the material with the eternal. The open flowers seem to release a mystical whisper, while the smoke rises like a silent prayer that transforms the space into a bridge between worlds. The presence of the god, integrated among natural forms, represents the inseparable union between nature and ancestral spirituality.
